Masonry wrapped up this month on The Joinery. It was no small job—over 40,000 brick made up the building's front steps, porch perimeter, columns, and triple-wythe walls.
None of it could have been possible without the mortar, or more specifically, Independent Material Company. Tulsa's oldest masonry supplier donated all of the mortar required for our project.
It was a pleasure to partner with this local institution. The Joinery aims to serve as a model of innovative, sustainable design, and using suppliers from the area is key.
